Be fair to academics in the creative fields

I REFER to the letter “Downside of pressure to publish” (The Star, June 20) by Frustrated Medical Lecturer on the plight of medical lecturers vis-à-vis the publication KPI they have to meet to be eligible for promotion.

It’s a similar situation albeit in a different context in the performing and visual arts where most of the lecturers have to undertake both academic and creative works.
