I REFER to the report “Stop logging or our water supply will deplete, Kedah told” (The Star, May 16).

I was shocked to know that logging activities were rampant in important water catchment areas such as the Ulu Muda forest reserve. What was even more shocking was that the logging activities were approved by the authorities.
