Waiting for gold to be returned

I WOULD like to thank Desperate for highlighting the plight of investors involved in the Genneva Malaysia gold trading company, “Hoping to get back investments” (The Star, April 26). I am also an investor, having used some of my gratuity money to invest in the scheme. Most of us invested because the scheme was launched by a top government VIP. All the transactions were done through recognised banks.

Many might say we were greedy and wanted to make a quick buck, but the fact is we have to live after retirement and we wanted some extra cash for ourselves.
