Learn to be respectable law-abiding road users

IT is alarming to note that 489,606 traffic accidents occurred in our country last year, resulting in 6,706 deaths and total damages and losses amounting to RM8bil, according to a statement by the Transport Minister, “Liow: Accident statistics alarming” (The Star, April 19).

How could tragedies of such a magnitude occur? Well, the blame goes directly to the road-users themselves. Because of their highly undesirable acts, they can be fingered as the root cause of traffic tragedies.
