THE latest corruption scandal involving the misappropriation of RM107mil from the Youth and Sports Ministry and its agencies reflects the weaknesses in the government procurement system.
While we lauded MACC’s speedy action in exposing the corruption and identified the persons involved, the embezzlement had been going on for five years and over RM100mil was stolen from the government coffers.
