All patients need a copy of their bill

I GATHER many don’t really care or bother, but when I visit hospitals for treatment I always ask for a copy of my bill even if my visit is covered by a guarantee letter (GL) from the insurance company or employer.

However, different hospitals have different rules when issuing a copy of the bill to patients. Some will want to charge RM5 for the copy and others erroneously claim that they are not allowed to give you a copy.
