Perennial shortage of Chinese teachers

I REFER to the report “Teacher shortage claim being looked into” (The Star, Feb 20).

It was reported that the Education Ministry would be compiling a thorough report on the shortage of Chinese-language teachers in public secondary schools nationwide.
