Making real winners

Development is sustainable only if political solutions are offered to the people so that they can take ownership of the process.

WHENEVER the Norwegian Nobel Committee announces the winner of the annual Peace Prize with its US$1mil (RM4.28mil) cash prize, I always feel that those in the committee are somewhat out of touch with the real world.

First we had US President Barack Obama, who received the prize when he hadn’t even warmed his seat in the White House.
