"I saw dead people everywhere". Witnesses describe horror of Christchurch mosque attacks


CHRISTCHURCH (The Straits Times/Asia News Network): Witnesses told of the horror at the Al Noor Mosque in Christchurch as the gunman burst in shooting at worshippers, mowing them down with automatic weapons fire. It was one of two mosques targeted in the city.

"I could hear screaming and crying, I saw some people drop dead, some people were running away," a man in a wheelchair who was at the mosque during the incident told news outlet TVNZ.
