London: Amnesty International has withdrawn its Ambassador of Conscience award from Aung San Suu Kyi in light of the atrocities committed by the military against Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.
“We are deeply alarmed and disappointed by your clear and consistent betrayal of the values you promoted for decades,” Amnesty wrote in an open letter to the country’s de facto leader on Monday.
