JAKARTA: In response to a report about funds being stolen from a customer's account, Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) said its investigation showed that it was not thieves, but the complainant's own wife who had withdrawn the money.
When the bank contacted the complainant, simply known as Lukas he confirmed that his wife had taken the money, and it was a case miscommunication that led him to believe he was a victim of skimming, said BRI corporate secretary Bambang Tribaroto said recently.
