BEIJING: A man in southwestern China fainted at the wheel and hit a car after five days of dieting to shed his extra holiday weight, Chinese media reported.

Police in Chengdu, Sichuan province, were called last week after road users reported a Land Rover not moving after the traffic lights turned green at a junction, according to the Chengdu Economic Daily.
