DPM: Mugabe welcome to seek treatment here

The main industrial index was at 315.12 points compared with 527.27 points on Wednesday last week when the military announced its takeover and put former president Mugabe(filepic) under house arrest. On Thursday the index fell 4.4 percent.

BAGAN DATUK: The Government will not prevent or object to former Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe coming to Malaysia to seek medical treatment, says Deputy Prime Min­is­ter Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

He said this stand was in line with the Government’s aim of promoting health tourism in Malaysia to the international community.
