SHAH ALAM: Selangor police are cracking down on begging syndicates, and have arrested 52 people and rescued 56 victims, including children, since July this year.
Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Mazlan Mansor said police had conducted 24 raids under Op Ehsan in the state to clamp down on the problem, which he termed as "unhealthy".
