Religious school fire: King deeply saddened by tragedy

KUALA LUMPUR: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V has expressed his sadness over the tragedy at the Darul Quran Ittifaqiyah tahfiz school where 21 students and two teachers lost their lives.

In a statement issued Thursday, Datuk Pengelola Bijaya Diraja Istana Negara Datuk Wan Ahmad Dahlan Ab Aziz said His Majesty also conveyed his condolences and sympathies to the parents and family members of the students and teachers who were killed and injured in the tragedy.
