Hasmiza pleaded guilty after the charge was read out to her in the courtroom here Monday.

She admitted to taking part in a live show Jom Singgah on TV3, where she promoted the drink as a medicine that could heal burned skin as well as relieve joint and knee pains, without the approval from the Medicine Advertisement Board.

The founder of Vida Beauty Sdn Bhd, who was unrepresented, asked the court to pass a lenient sentence.

"I repeated the feedback that was given to me by my customers," she said calmly.
