Typhoon Hato flight disruptions leave tourists stranded at KLIA


PETALING JAYA: Some 200 tourists from China and Hong Kong were left stranded at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) after their flights were disrupted by Typhoon Hato. At around 6pm, the group staged a noisy protest at the check-in counter, chanting in Chinese, “We want to go home”.

About 10 policemen were called in to monitor the situation. There was no untoward incident.
