Voices told him to – and man tries to swim 2km to go home

KOTA KINABALU: A man attempted to swim nearly two kilometres to the refugee colony in Pulau Gaya from Likas Bay after he “heard” voices asking him to come home.

The man, in his 20s, believed to be high on drugs, was found safe on the beach of Likas Bay itself after a two-hour search and rescue was mounted by the police and firemen on being alerted by the public.
