KOTA KINABALU: Three Filipinos trying to slip into Semporna outside the gazetted sea route were arrested thanks to the heightened security along Sabah’s sea border with southern Philippines.
Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) commander Datuk Wan Abdul Bari Wan Abdul Khalid said the illegal immigrants, aged between 34 and 55, were caught when the marine police were carrying out Ops Gelora in waters off Pulau Kulapuan in Semporna yesterday.
