Penang Island City councillor dismissed from office

GEORGE TOWN: The state government has terminated the appointment of a city councillor without providing any reasons.

Noor Syazwani Md Amin (pic), 30, had served in the Penang Island City Council (MBPP) for less than four months. She was removed from office on Wednesday after the state exco meeting. She was appointed in January and was an NGO representative from the Penang Malay Night Markets Association.
