KOTA BARU: The former director at the Kelantan office of the International Trade and Industry Ministry (Miti) has been remanded over investigations into the filing of false claims totalling RM600,000.
Kota Baru Sessions Court registrar Norida Mohd Husin issued the seven-day remand order, which is effective until next Tuesday.
Kelantan Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) director Datuk Moh Samsuddin Yusof said the 35-year-old suspect was arrested at his office in Putrajaya at about 6pm on Tuesday.
He said the man was brought here last night to assist in the investigations.
Miti Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed said it would cooperate fully with MACC investigators. — Bernama
