Move to recall envoy denotes displeasure, say diplomats


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s move to recall its ambassador in Pyongyang is a diplomatic measure to express “annoyance” or “displeasure” towards North Korea, said diplomats.

Former and current diplomats said Wisma Putra’s move to recall Ambassador Mohamad Nizan Mohamad for consultation could also be a prelude to expelling the North Korean ambassador to Malaysia, Kang Chol.
