KOTA KINABALU: For Universiti Malaysia Sabah lecturer Jurry Michael and her husband Haridyn Hanti, being Muslims is not a hindrance to celebrating Chinese New Year with the rest of her family.
The only difference between now and before she embraced Islam, said Jurry, 39, is that they have halal food and that’s just fine.
