‘Thanks, but no thanks,’ Bersih tells Red Shirts

KUALA LUMPUR: Bersih 2.0 has turned down an offer by the Red Shirts to get 2,000 of their members to handle security and crowd control if the yellow group agrees to hold its Nov 19 Bersih 5 rally in a stadium instead of at Dataran Merdeka.

“Thanks, but no thanks,” said Bersih 2.0 chairman Maria Chin Abdullah when asked about the offer.
