Malaysia backs world energy forum initiatives

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia fully supports the International Energy Forum's (IEF) initiatives and hopes the organisation will help spread knowledge and increase awareness among participating countries.

In a statement released Friday, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan said many interesting discussions were held during the recently concluded IEF meeting, including topics such as the outlook and sustainability of oil markets, the challenges facing the natural gas and liquefied natural gas industry, renewable energy and energy efficiency, fair and sustainable energy access, energy governance and the role of technology in enhancing energy security.
