Man found dead in car two days after heart failure

PETALING JAYA: A man found dead in a car in Kajang died due to heart failure, police said.

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Othman Nayan said the post-mortem conducted on the body found that the man died due to “probable ischaemic heart disease”.

“There were no signs of external injuries on the body of the victim,” he said Thursday.

Further investigations found that the victim had been a regular in the area where his body was found on Wednesday.

“A witness said the deceased made the car his home for the last two months. He also said that the victim frequently went to his shop to buy food,” said ACP Othman.

ACP Othman added that police had sent a request to the National Registration Department (NRD) to ascertain the man's identity from his fingerprints.

The man is thought to have died at least two days before the body was found in his car in Jalan Temenggung, Bandar Mahkota Cheras.
