Johor Sultan rooting for Malaysian shuttlers


JOHOR BARU: Along with millions of Malaysians, the Johor royal family will also be rooting for the nation’s badminton mixed doubles team to take home the first-ever Olympic gold in the finals against Indonesia Wednesday night.

In a post on his official Facebook account, Johor ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar said that he would be tuning in to watch the much-anticipated match, which could potentially win Malaysia’s first ever Olympics gold medal.
