KUALA LUMPUR: Vacant properties are being used by unscrupulous people to carry out illegal transactions without the knowledge of the owners.

This new tactic was uncovered when the addresses of two empty houses were used to register a company, apply for credit cards, phone line and even borrow money from illegal moneylenders by at least six people.
