Govt mulls abolishing law after requests by businesses

KUALA LUMPUR: The Government is looking into the possibility of abolishing the Price Control and Anti-Profiteering Act 2011 following requests by businesses that claim that the Act has shortcomings.

Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin said his ministry has been given until December this year to engage stakeholders in the industry and consumers in a study.
