Police pushing for sex offender registry

KUALA LUMPUR: A sex offender registry needs to be implemented as a separate piece of legislation to ensure that predators are kept under constant police surveillance.

A source at Bukit Aman said the police were pushing for the registry as it could facilitate the force in its investigations.
