Ahmad Zahid pays last respects to son-in-law


KAJANG: Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi arrived at Surau An-Nur, Country Heights on Thursday, to pay his last respects to son-in-law Datuk Syed Alman Zain Syed Alwi who died Wednesday.

The Deputy Prime Minister who had just returned from a working visit to Japan was accompanied by family members and friends as well as acquaintances of the deceased.

Syed Alman Zain, 44, the husband of Ahmad Zahid's eldest daughter, Datuk Nurulhidayah, 37, passed away following treatment at a dental clinic in Bangsar yesterday.

The deputy prime minister's wife Datin Seri Hamidah Khamis, International Trade and Industry Deputy Minister Datuk Ahmad Maslan and Malaysian Armed Forces chief, General Tan Sri Zulkifeli Mohd Zin were also at the surau. - Bernama
