Man's body found in sewage pond

JOHOR BARU: A body of an unidentified man was found in a sewage pond in Taman Setia Indah here.

Tebrau Fire and Rescue Department commander Ronney Robert said they received a distress call at 11.11am on Friday.

“A team of five officers were sent to the scene to help police retrieve the body.

“The team took about an hour to pull the body out of the pond in Jalan Setia Indah 4/6," he said.

The body of the man clad in purple T-shirt and khaki shorts was handed over to the police forensics unit for further investigations.
