Singaporean fined RM11,000 for illegal entry


PEKAN NENAS: A 24-year-old Singaporean who regularly travelled to Johor to fuel up his motorcycle, was fined RM11,000 in default 11 months' jail for entering the country without a valid pass and trying to leave Malaysia without presenting his passport.

Abu Sufian Ja'id, along with four other Malaysians, were fined after they pleaded guilty for travelling to Singapore to work without stopping to show their passports at Immigration counters in the Bangunan Sultan Iskandar Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) complex earlier this month.
