KOTA KINABALU: Accolades for the heroic efforts of the mountain guides during last year’s Mount Kinabalu earthquake continue to pour in with Singapore’s Foreign Affairs Ministry saying that Malaysia is a friend in need.
Its minister Dr Vivian Balakrishnan commended the bravery of the rescuers who risked their lives to protect the stranded victims in the June 5 tragedy which killed 18 people.
