KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman wants to increase the maximum compound for traffic offences, saying the current RM300 is like “peanuts” for many motorists.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said they were looking at this approach in view of the increasing rate of accidents and fatalities, especially during festive seasons.
