A KARAOKE centre in Taman Connaught, Cheras, is believed to be providing sexual services as well, reported Utusan Malaysia.

The tactic was revealed after a Special Task Force for Anti-Vice, Gaming and Gangsterism (STAGG) team raided the centre on Tuesday and detained 25 foreign women and a local woman.

Among the 25, 23 of them were Vietnamese and the other two were Cambodians.

Supt Muhammad Idzam Jaafar, who led the operation, said the visitors could ask for any GRO to be their partner for a karaoke session.

“They can also bring them out for sex,” he said.

Initial inspection found that the foreigners were involved in the sexual activity willingly with their customers and no human trafficking element was involved.

The premises also has closed-circuit camera (CCTV) to monitor the movement of every visitor, who paid between RM200 and RM1,000 for the services.

In the report yesterday, the victim was raped by her then 15-year-old cousin in their grandmother’s house in Kampung Manek Urai Lama, Kuala Krai, on Nov 15, 2012.

The victim’s father had admitted that the whole family’s psychological state was in a slump due to the crime of their own kin.

“We are the victims, but instead we were the ones who were mocked by the villagers.

“Anywhere we went, the villagers would scold and provoke us,” he told the newspaper yesterday.

The youth was fined RM8,000.

The body of Nur Nasuha Asyikin Mohd Hafiz, seven, was pulled out of the bottom of the pool by two resort workers and a security guard who attempted to revive her through CPR.

The victim had earlier declined to follow her two other cousins for a walk at the nearby beach on Monday.

The victim’s aunt only realised that Nur Nasuha Asyikin was missing later and conducted a search for her. Her body was found at the bottom of the swimming pool.
