Mahmud tells court Cahya Mata Sarawak Berhad shares enough for ex-wife’s claim


KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Mahmud Abu Bekir Taib (pic) told a Syariah High Court here that the value of his shares in Cahya Mata Sarawak Berhad is sufficient to pay the RM100mil mutaah claim filed by his ex-wife Shahnaz A. Majid.

Mahmud who is Sarawak Governor Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud's son was replying to a question by Shahnaz's Syarie counsel Dr Rafie Mohd Shafie during cross-examination in the mutaah (Islamic conciliatory payment) claim as divorce settlement trial on Tuesday.
