WAO expo shines light on violence at home via 12 personal stories

All ears: Investigating Officer of the Criminal Investigation Division (Sexual and Children) Insp. Noorazlina Darkaseh listening to the words coming from a ceramic head during the Exhibition on Domestic Violence by WAO in Kuala Lumpur.

KUALA LUMPUR: “Every time he hit me, he would cry and apologise, and tell me he loved me very much. And every time, I would forgive him. It was my fault really – I was being weak.”

This was one of 12 voices which rang in the ears of those who got up close with 12 life-sized ceramic head sculptures that depicted women who had been victims of domestic violence.
