PETALING JAYA: The Safecam initiative which paves the way for privately owned CCTVs to be linked to state police contingents and Bukit Aman to reduce crime can lead to an invasion of privacy, a criminologist said.
USM criminologist Dr Geshina Ayu Mat Saat cautioned that privacy rights could be compromised as the people would be constantly monitored.
