Affairs of Sabah and Sarawak best left to their people, says Masing

KUCHING: If there is one thing Tan Sri Dr James Masing believes Malaysians can take away from the uproar over the ban on the word “Allah” in the Catholic weekly The Herald, it is that some matters affecting Sarawak and Sabah are best left to the people from the two states.

The PRS president felt that “outsiders” who meddled in the affairs of the two states, particularly those practices and beliefs entrenched since before the formation of Malaysia, were not doing themselves any favours in terms of the country’s peace and harmony.
