Thrill of riding on a race track

THE Oiler Bikerz Group held its first Fun Moto GP at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) for its members to have an exclusive use of the track recently.

Members had fun showing off their skills by competing in various categories.

Apart from competing, the event was also held to foster better relationship among its members and families.

More importantly, the event successfully created awareness on riding safety especially on a challenging track like the SIC.

Oiler Bikerz was first initiated by a few friends in the oil and gas industry who love high capacity motorbikes and ride together during weekends to places surrounding Kuala Lumpur.

From only a handful of members, it has grown into a big group now.There were about 70 members and their family attended the event that saw 35 motorcycles competing in four categories based on their experience and their bikes’ capacity. No trophies or cash awaited the winners but they were all very satisfied with each performance, even in the heavy downpour.

For the less experienced riders, the GP certainly exposed them to the challenges of riding on a track. To some, it may be a platform to move further than just being amateurs.

As for Oiler Bikerz members, they are certainly looking forward to their next GP.
