Women must be given equal opportunities based on merit and not on quota, says Rafidah

JOHOR BARU: Former International Trade and Industry Minister Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz feels that women’s groups should champion gender equality instead of being too worried about increasing job quotas for women in the government or private sectors.

She said that women should move away from the mindset that they were mere statistics to fill up positions.
