Mestron 3Q earnings up 183% to RM3.09m

Mestron Holdings managing director Por Teong Eng said the boost in revenue and higher profits was mainly attributable to backlogged orders from the second quarter which had spilled over and were delivered in the third quarter.

KUALA LUMPUR: Steel pole maker Mestron Holding Bhd's net profit jumped by 183% to RM3.09mil in the third quarter ended Sept 30 from RM1.09mil a year ago as the economy started to open up.

It reported on Thursday the boost in the earnings were due to the general recovery in sales following the business interruptions experienced during the Movement Control Order (MCO) in March and April.
