Kerjaya Prospek's order book rises to RM3.5b with new contract


In its filings with Bursa Malaysia, Yong Tai said its wholly-owned subsidiary YTB Impression Sdn Bhd terminated the deal due to non-fulfilment of the condition precedent as stated in clause 3.1(c) of the joint development agreement. Yong Tai fell half a sen to close at 32.5 sen yesterday.


KUALA LUMPUR: Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd's orderbook increased to RM3.5bil with the latest contract worth RM277mil building contract in the Bukit Bintang area here.

The company announced on Thursday its unit received a letter of award from Enduring Power Sdn Bhd to construct the main building for a project along Jalan Padang/ Jalan Padang Walter Grenier in Bukit Bintang for AK Star Sdn Bhd, the property developer of the project.

The main building comprises one 27-storey apartment block and one 34-storey apartment block on top of a nine-storey podium car park. The contract will start on July 1 and to be completed within 36 months. 

“This is Kerjaya’s fourth contract secured in 2019, bringing Kerjaya’s year to date contract wins to RM1.1biln. The group is close to meeting its internal target of RM1.2bil worth of contracts for 2019. Kerjaya currently has a huge outstanding order book of RM3.5bil,” it said. 

Kerjaya executive chairman Datuk Tee Eng Ho said this latest contract further reflects the trust and confidence the industry and developers have in Kerjaya. 

“We will continue to persevere to ensure that our 2019 target (of securing RM1.2bil worth of contracts) will be met,” he said.
