Muzmi Mohamed appointed TH Plantations CEO

As the value of the company is tied to the performance of the company, it is in the interest of the warring shareholders to argue and fight outside the company.

KUALA LUMPUR: TH Plantations Bhd has appointed Muzmi Mohamed as its chief executive officer, effective Feb 11, 2019.

A filing with the stock exchange shows that Muzmi will fill the post left vacant in the wake of Datuk Seri Zainal Azwar Zainal Aminuddin's resignation in Aug 20 last year, shortly after the latter was asked to go on garden leave.

In the interim, the day-to-day management of TH Plantations and its subsidiaries has fallen to chief financial officer Mohamed Azman Shah Ishak.

According to the announcement on Bursa Malaysia, Muzmi spent about 25 years in Malaysian Kuwaiti Investment Co Sdn Bhd, a joint venture between the two governments, and was most recently its deputy CEO.

Prior to that, he had served as an accountant with Food Specialities (M) Sdn Bhd and Perbadanan Isi Sawit Felda.

He is a chartered accountant with qualifications from the Malaysian Institute of Accountants as well as the London School of Accountancy and Emily Woolf College in the UK.
