BCM Alliance quarterly earnings up 102%


Companies that provide short-term consumer loans at high interest rates are on the increase in countries like Indonesia and the Philippines as many people struggle to get advances through traditional channels such as banks.

PETALING JAYA: BCM Alliance Bhd recorded a 102.26% increase in net profit to RM2.42mil for the second quarter ended June 30, compared with RM1.19mil in the previous year’s corresponding period.

Its earnings per share stood at 0.57 sen, from 0.28 sen a year ago.
