Salcon JV secures RM77m Vietnam water supply system job


Temporary anti-dumping measures on ethanolamine products produced in the Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and the United States is also being introduced.

KUALA LUMPUR: Salcon Bhd's joint venture in Vietnam has secured a RM77.10mil contract from the water authority of Haiphong City to undertake phase two of its water supply system.

It said on Monday the Bach Dang-Salcon JV – where Bach Dang Construction Corporation JSC holds a (75%) and Salcon Engineering Bhd 25% – had accepted the contract from Haiphong Water Joint Stock Company.

The construction contract would involve repairing and upgrading the water supply system and there was no option for renewal.

“The project is expected to contribute positively towards the earnings and net assets of Salcon Group for FY ending Dec 31, 2018 to Dec 31, 2020,” it said.
