Bursa Malaysia mulling adjustment of clearing fees, softer earnings seen


MIDF Research says cumulative net foreign inflow into Bursa for 2016 fell to RM2.42bil

PETALING JAYA: Bursa Malaysia Bhd is projected to deliver softer earnings in its third quarter of financial year 2017, following a lower daily average trading value (DATV) for equities and softer derivatives revenue in the quarter.

In order to improve equity market trades, AmInvestment Bank Research said it understands that Bursa Malaysia is studying the feasibility of an adjustment of clearing fee rates and to fix clearing fee rate for equities at a cap of RM1,000.
