Jag, Jag-WA rise in active trade


KUALA LUMPUR: Electronics-waste recycler, JAG Bhd saw active trades in Thursday’s early session, becoming the volume leader. 

The stock reached a high of 16 sen in early trade, its highest since May 2015. There were 35.7 million shares traded, making it the most heavily traded counter. 

Its warrant, Jag-WA surged 9.09%, or 0.5 sen to six sen with about eight million shares exchanged hands.

The group posted a profit after tax (PAT) of RM4.97mil for the first six months of 2017 from the loss after tax of RM1.62mil recorded in the corresponding period last year.

Its revenue was also higher at RM64.64mil compared with the RM42.84mil recorded last year.

For the second quarter ended June 30,JAG achieved a PAT of RM2.52mil compared with RM283,000 registered in the corresponding second quarter last year.

Revenue for the quarter under review stood at RM36.69mil compared with RM22.03mil recorded in the corresponding second quarter last year.
