Boon for small and mid-cap public listed firms

KUALA LUMPUR: The Securities Commission (SC) will unveil the small- and mid-cap public-listed company (plc) research scheme and investment fund in the second quarter of this year, as part of an initiative to drive investor participation in these companies.

In addition, the capital market regulator said it would introduce initiatives to revitalise the domestic exchange traded funds (ETFs) and enhance the vibrancy of venture capital or private equity (VC/PE) to deepen Malaysia’s capital market.
